The day was not clear when it dawned this morning but eventually the sun came out and it was fair again. The shower of last night made everything look fresh and new and, indeed, gave us humans a new lease on life.

Groffie started washing the windows at the mill and things were more brisk.

In the evening I picked 8 qts. of cherries and we stemmed seeded them till nine-thirty when it was bedtime.

No time for our weeknight date but we're grown up now.
