Brackbill Wiki

Today a part of the population celebrates Thanksgiving. We shall wait until next week. We can't have too many days of giving thanks yet I think we should have one day for a special Thanksgiving for all our people.

It was a little cloudy today but nice. We weren't too busy at the mill. Jane & Evelyn were down home all afternoon canning peas. We were there for supper.

After supper Everett & I went to choir practice. It went fine. Brackys stopped in at Youngs on the way home.

See Herman's journal entry from November 23, 1939 for the history of Thanksgiving dates.
